Bill Simpson is a 30-year veteran in the Commercial Real Estate Acquisition and Development Industry, with an extensive background in capital funding and entitlement processes. His experience covers a wide variety of products and destinations – Luxury Residential, Hotel and Resort Commercial, and Mixed-Use developments.
Prior to working in real esatate, Bill spent 6 years playing Major League Baseball. He ended his career with the San Diego Padres as one of the most touted Center Fielders in all of baseball. After leaving the world of professional baseball, Bill parlayed his numerous business relationships into a successful role as Director of Acquisitions for Clurman Companies based in Laguna Beach, CA. Subsequently, Bill was recruited to participate in the launch of the Residence Club division of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
As the highest-producing agent at Aviara, Bill was able to establish his own brokerage firm – Simpson and Dellenbach – which focused on residential sales and development in notable areas such as Del Mar, La Jolla, and Rancho Santa Fe. Concurrent with the operation of his brokerage firm, Bill led the acquisition of the Vacation Village hotel in Laguna Beach, Ca. and 3 large commercial shopping centers in Kona and Lahaina. It was during these transactions that Bill became principal of Pono Ranch Partners, LLC, a key entity focused on the acquisition and development of the Hotel Hana-Maui and the Hana Ranch.
Bill currently focuses on commercial acquisitions (primarily in off-market deals) with Hilton & Hyland, and fundraising as an executive board member of the Challenge Aspen Charity.
