With annual production in the top 1% of all Realtors nationwide, Bret Parsons is an award-winning real estate professional who represents buyers and sellers of exceptional homes, often termed “architecturals," throughout greater Los Angeles.

Bret published his first architectural book in 2008 about Beverly Hills architect Gerard Colcord.  In 2016, along with architect Marc Appleton, they created the “Master Architects of Southern California” book series, which has compiled monographs about Gordon Kaufmann, Roland Coate, Wallace Neff, and Paul Williams. The series profiles the finest residential architects in the region’s history from 1920 thru 1949.  Volumes post-1950 are anticipated.

For the past three decades, Bret has delivered dynamic lectures about famous houses and their cultural impact, frequently to standing room only crowds, and now, to on-line audiences.  His comments often appear on social media, newspapers and magazines, and in numerous books.  He also lectures at UCLA and gives walking tours of historic Los Angeles neighborhoods including Windsor Square and Hancock Park.

He’s renovated and sold three period homes, all featured in the popular Los Angeles Times column, “Hot Properties.”  Bret spent a decade as a mortgage broker and prior to that was vice president of Business Development at Pacific Design Center.  He began his real estate career during college by writing house brochures for Del Monte Properties in Carmel and Pebble Beach, CA.

Bret is currently a board member for the Windsor Square Hancock Park Historical Society.  He’s a former board member of Imagine LA which serves to prevent first-time and repeat homelessness.
