Soho House West Hollywood and Christie’s teamed up, recently, to host a select group of guests for a private screening of the auction house’s Post-War and Contemporary Art evening sale.
Of the 66 lots offered, 80% were sold for a combined realized price of over $331 million, securing yet another unmitigated success for Christie’s.
Among the night’s successes was Lucian Freud’s The Brigadier, completed in 2004 and sold for over $34 million. However, the night’s top-distinction went to Four Marilyns, a 1962 Andy Warhol, which was snapped up by an anonymous buyer for $36,005,000.
Performances and events like these, continue to make Hilton & Hyland a proud founding member of the Christie’s International Real Estate group.
